Dr. Patrick W. Mufarrij is a urologist affiliated with Sibley Memorial Hospital and George Washington University Hospital, as well as an assistant professor of urology at George Washington University School of Medicine. Dr. Mufarrij is board certified in urology and practices out of GWUMFA Department of Urology, located in Sibley Memorial Hospital’s Medical Building in Washington, D.C. and in the Foggy Bottom South Pavilion in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Mufarrij has an expertise in endourology, including percutaneous and endoscopic urologic surgery; metabolic stone and causes of the recurrent stone formation; and robotic surgery for the reconstruction of the urinary tract.
Dr. Mufarrij earned his undergraduate degree and his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine. He completed residencies in general surgery and urology at New York University School of Medicine, followed by special training in endourology during a fellowship at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. During his fellowship, Dr. Mufarrij focused on metabolic kidney stone disease, surgery for complex kidney stones, percutaneous renal surgery and robotic surgery.
Dr. Mufarrij is a member of the American Urological Association.
Dr. Mufarrij has contributed to numerous publications on the topics of urology.
