Biography

Dr. Chinwe Chi Chi Ajuba-Iwuji is an assistant professor of anesthesiology and critical care medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Her area of clinical expertise is anesthesiology.

Dr. Ajuba-Iwuji received her undergraduate degree in biology/pre-medicine from Cornell University. She earned her M.D. from Johns Hopkins. She completed her residency at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and performed a fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology, also at Johns Hopkins. Dr. Ajuba-Iwuji joined the Johns Hopkins faculty in 2011.

Dr. Ajuba-Iwuji's research interests include pediatric anesthesiology.

Dr. Ajuba-Iwuji serves on the House Staff Council at Johns Hopkins. She is a Cornell Tradition Scholar and a member of several professional organizations, including the Congenital Cardiac Anesthesiology Society and the Society of Pediatric Anesthesiology.

    Research Summary

    Dr. Ajuba-Iwuji performs ACE inhibitor database development and research for the Division of Pediatric Anesthesiology at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. Her research involves a retrospective analysis of hemodynamic effects of ACE inhibitors on patients presenting for cardiac surgery during both the pre- and post-cardio pulmonary bypass period.
