Dr. Chien is an excellent doctor. He did my cochlear implant two years ago. And I am so glad I came to Johns Hopkins for the surgery.

Dr. Chien has been dealing regularly (every six months) with my buildup of ear wax. He is excellent.

My provider was kind, caring, and knowledgeable. He knew more of the risks of liquid steroid injections directly into my ears than my current ENT specialist, so I felt I was in great hands with this highly trained medical doctor specialist.

Provider did not read the notes from the referring doctor before seeing me. He almost ordered a lab work that was already done by the referring doctor.

In my last two visit with him, I saw he only has his own agenda for making decisions and treatments, he was not going through the new observations throughly and without any efforts he just referred me to another doctor.

He's very easy to talk to and offered recommendations that were best for my Mom fir her treatment.

Thus, no follow-up has occurred for that purpose although provider made a point of assuring patient that follow-up would occur when available and asked to be informed of any patient questions pending results and when results became available.

Dr Chien gave clear answers to my questions and seemed willing to answer more though I had the sense he was in a hurry. I didn't really get all the information I feel I want about my surgery and what to expect afterwards. I acknowledge that this is mostly my fault for not being prepared to ask the relevant questions, but the office could probably anticipate better with answers to FAQ. This visit was a surgical consult for cochlear surgery.
