Dr. Atif Zaheer is an Assistant Professor in the Johns Hopkins Medicine Department of Radiology and Radiological Science. His area of clinical expertise is diagnostic radiology, with a focus on cross-sectional imaging of the body using computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and ultrasound.
Dr. Zaheer earned his M.D. from Aga Khan Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan. He completed his residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and performed fellowships in interventional radiology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Cancer Radiology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Dr. Zaheer also completed a clinical and research fellowship in radiology at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Dr. Zaheer’s research interests include genitourinary and molecular imaging.
Dr. Zaheer has been recognized with the 2001 Morrison Research Award for Exemplary Efforts in the Creation of New Knowledge and the 2002 Risa and Felix Fleischner Young Investigator Award for Outstanding Research, both while he was a fellow in the Department of Radiology of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center at Harvard Medical School.
