Biography

Dr. Thierry Huisman is the Medical Director of the Division of Pediatric Radiology. He is also the Director of Pediatric Neuroradiology, Co-Director of the Neuro Intensive Care Nursery of Johns Hopkins Hospital, and a Professor in the Johns Hopkins Medicine Departments of Radiology, Pediatrics, and Neurology. His areas of clinical expertise include pediatric neuroradiology, advanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), fetal MRI, and ultrasonography.

Dr. Huisman received his medical degree from Erasmus University Rotterdam in The Netherlands. He completed residencies in radiology, pediatrics, and diagnostic radiology from the University Hospital Zurich in Switzerland. He also performed a fellowship in pediatric radiology from the University Children''s Hospital Zurich and a fellowship in neuroradiology from Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.

His research interests examine how different imaging techniques, including computed tomography (CT) and MRI evaluations, affect pediatric patients.

Dr. Huisman has written several case study textbooks that are used by radiology students.
