Dr. Grader-Beck’s research interests are focused on improving the quality of patient care and clinical research using state of the art information technology. He is developing innovative ways in how clinicians and researchers can leverage electronic health record (EHR) systems to deliver individualized patient care. Modern EHR systems provide the opportunity to understand a patient's disease and disease course in a detailed way that was never possible before. In order to leverage this potential clinical data needs to be collected, organized, displayed and analyzed in a way that allows the clinician to readily recognize the patient's current disease state and future therapy options. Dr. Grader-Beck is at the forefront in developing such tools.
