Biography

Dr. Harvey A. Ziessman is a Professor in the Division of Nuclear Medicine within the Johns Hopkins Medicine Department of Radiology and Radiological Science. He serves as the Director of Nuclear Medicine Imaging and the Nuclear Medicine Residency Program Director. He joined Johns Hopkins in 2003.

Dr. Ziessman received his undergraduate and medical degrees from Indiana University and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Georgetown University. He trained in nuclear medicine at the University of Michigan and is board certified in both internal medicine and nuclear medicine.

Prior to joining Johns Hopkins Medicine, Dr. Ziessman served as the Director of Nuclear Medicine at Georgetown University from 1991 to 2003.

He is the author of a major nuclear medicine textbook entitled Nuclear Medicine, The Requisites, 4th edition, and Case Review Series, Nuclear Medicine, 2nd edition. He has published more than 75 original research articles, 25 review articles, and 34 book chapters.
