Background
Gary X. Gong, M.D., Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in Johns Hopkins Medicine Department of Radiology and Radiological Science. He specializes in diagnostic radiology and radiofrequency ablation of lung, liver, kidney and bone lesions.
Dr. Gong serves as an attending radiologist at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.
Dr. Gong earned both a medical degree and a doctoral degree in medical physiology from the Temple University School of Medicine. He completed an internal medicine/diagnostic radiology residency at Yale-Norwalk Hospital, a neuroradiology fellowship at The Johns Hopkins Hospital and a postdoctoral thoracic surgery fellowship at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.
Prior to his time at Temple, Dr. Gong trained at China’s Shandong Medical University and Taishan Medical College-Shandong Medical University.
His research interests include tumor imaging and interventional therapy.
Dr. Gong speaks English and Chinese.
