Dr. Martin Radvany is Director of Interventional Neuroradiology at Johns Hopkins Bayview and Assistant Professor in the Johns Hopkins Medicine Department of Radiology and Radiological Science. His area of clinical expertise is in the endovascular treatment of cerebrovascular disease and malformations, including the evaluation and treatment of cerebral aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, dural arteriovenous fistulas, stroke, carotid stenosis, and acute subclavian stenosis.

Dr. Radvany serves as the Director of the Endovascular Surgical Neuroradiology Training Program at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.

He received his medical degree from Northwestern University. He completed his internship and radiology residency at Tripler Army Medical Center and performed fellowships in cardiovascular and interventional radiology and interventional neuroradiology at Johns Hopkins. Dr. Radvany joined the Johns Hopkins faculty in 2009.

Prior to joining Johns Hopkins, Dr. Radvany was the Chief of Interventional Neuroradiology and Radiology at the San Antonio Endovascular and Heart Institute and the Chief of Interventional Radiology at Brooke Army Medical Center.

Dr. Radvany''s research interests include endovascular stroke treatment, endovascular treatment of Pseudotumor Cerebri Syndrome, and medical informatics.

Dr. Radvancy has been recognized with numerous awards and honors, including the Army Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, fellow of the Society of Interventional Radiology, and The Johns Hopkins Hospital Gatewood Award for Clinical Research. He is also a member of the American College of Radiology, American Society of Neuroradiology, and the Radiological Society of North America. more

    Research Summary

    Dr. Radvany's research focuses on endovascular treatments for stroke, Pseudotumor Cerebri Syndrome, cranial arteriovenous malformations, and dural arteriovenous malformations. His research also examines the use of imaging informatics to improve patient care and the development of endovascular devices and minimally invasive image-guided techniques.
