 Dr. Robert Dudas is an assistant professor of pediatrics at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He came to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in 1998, and currently serves as assistant director of medical student education for the Department of Pediatrics. He also is the Helen Taussig College Faculty Co-Leader of the Colleges Advisory Program in the School of Medicine.

Dr. Dudas is actively engaged in curriculum development and evaluation for the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. He serves as medical director of the Pediatric Hospitalist Program at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, where he oversees pediatric care delivered in the emergency department, inpatient department and nursery. He also is the associate director of the medical student pediatric clerkship. 

His academic interests are related to health service delivery and medical education, with a focus on simulation, clinical skills development and assessment. Other interests include developing innovations that help families cultivate better relationships with their healthcare team through the application of telecommunication technologies.

In 2014, Dr. Dudas was awarded the Teaching and Education Award from the Council on Medical Student Education in Pediatrics. He has also been the recipient of numerous institutional teaching awards, including the Outstanding Achievement in Education Award (2013) and the Berkheimer Faculty Education Scholar Grant (2012), both from the Institute of Excellence in Education. He also received institutional teaching awards from both medical students (2003) and residents (2004 and 2005).  

For Dr. Dudas, Johns Hopkins Bayview combines the best elements of an academic medical center (teaching and research) with a community medical center that serves the needs of the local population.

In his spare time, Dr. Dudas enjoys mountain biking. more
