Dr. Corse earned her medical degree at the University of Kansas School of Medicine and came to Johns Hopkins as an intern. She completed her neurology residency training at Johns Hopkins serving as chief resident, followed by a two-year combined basic and clinical research fellowship in neuromuscular disease.

Currently an Associate Professor of Neurology and Neurological Surgery, Dr. Corse directs the Neuromuscular Pathology Laboratory, which uses muscle and nerve biopsies to diagnose conditions such as autoimmune disorders and a range of myopathies. She provides clinical expertise in the management of myasthenia gravis (MG), myositis and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).Over the past decade she has worked on several national and international ALS clinical trials.
