Biography

Dr. Beryl Rosenstein is a professor of pediatrics at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. His areas of clinical expertise include cystic fibrosis and other pediatric pulmonary disorders.

Dr. Rosenstein received his undergraduate degree from Boston University and his medical degree from Tufts University. He completed his residency in pediatrics at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. 

He has served as director of ambulatory services in the pediatric emergency department, director of The Johns Hopkins Hospital full-term nursery, medical director of the Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital, and as director of the Johns Hopkins Cystic Fibrosis Clinic. He was vice president for medical affairs at the Johns Hopkins Hospital from 1994 to 2009. 

Dr. Rosenstein's research interests include the role of prednisone and its effect on growth, antibiotic prophylaxis in infants, calcium metabolism in girls, cystic fibrosis and mucociliary clearance.

He is a reviewer for several medical journals, including the New England Journal of Medicine and Pediatric Pulmonology, and he has co-authored a textbook on the care of CF patients.
