Biography

Dr. Ronald Byank is an associate professor of orthopaedic surgery at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. His areas of clinical expertise include orthopaedic surgery, orthopaedic trauma and the surgical and non-surgical treatment of arthritis.

Dr. Byank earned his M.D. from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He completed his residency at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore and performed a fellowship in orthopaedic surgery at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Dr. Byank spent two years in the United States Air Force as an orthopedic surgeon.

At Johns Hopkins Bayview (formerly Baltimore City Hospitals) since 1978, Dr. Byank’s research interests include nerve entrapment in the foot and ankle, post-operative delirium in geriatric patients, ankle fractures, imaging of orthopaedic conditions and carpal tunnel syndrome.
