Dr. Donna Lynn Magid is an Assistant Professor in the Johns Hopkins Medicine Department of Radiology and Radiological Science and the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. She serves as the Assistant Program Director of Radiology, Co-Director of Residency Selection, Director of the School of Medicine Horizontal Strand in Diagnostic Imaging and Director of the Clinical Elective in Radiology. Her areas of specialization include general, musculoskeletal and emergency medicine radiology, as well as joint injections and medical student education.
Dr. Magid achieved her B.S. degree in psychology at Tufts University in Boston and received a M.Ed. at Boston University. She then completed her M.D. at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in 1979, and after an internship at the Cambridge Hospital in Boston, she returned to Johns Hopkins for a residency in radiology and a fellowship in ultrasound and computed tomography (CT).
Dr. Magid has received numerous awards for excellence in teaching and her research in radiology education, and she is certified in diagnostic radiology by the American Board of Radiology.
