Dr. Mark E. Bohlman is an Associate Professor of Johns Hopkins Medicine Department of Radiology and Radiological Science.
As Co-Director of Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center’s Department of Imaging, Dr. Bohlman manages the clinical diagnostic services and is responsible for the instruction of Hopkins residents who train there.
Dr. Bohlman is a specialist in the use of computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance (MR) imaging in cross-sectional and image-guided interventional radiology. His primary research interest is musculoskeletal imaging.
After earning his medical degree from the University of Maryland Medical School, Dr. Bohlman completed a radiology residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. He joined the Hopkins faculty in 1991.
Dr. Bohlman has published more than 40 scientific articles, authored three book chapters, prepared nearly 20 exhibits for radiology meetings and conducted a number of research studies on the effectiveness of contrast media.
A Fellow of the American College of Radiology, he is certified by the American Board of Radiology in diagnostic radiology.
Dr. Bohlman is a lifelong Baltimore resident, an Eagle Scout and an avid fisherman. He and his wife, MaryEllen, have four children.
