The Health Education team at Priority Partners offers different health education classes to help our members.
American Lung Association
Freedom from Smoking Program
Freedom from Smoking is an eight-session group class that teaches smokers to quit. The class gives important information, skills for dealing with cravings, and group support.
Diabetes Conversation Map Training
This five week course is designed help people with diabetes. Basic diabetes education will help members to learn from each other. Each session is meant to be fun, hands-on, and informative.
Chronic Disease Self-Management Program
Is a six-week workshop that helps people with different chronic health problems. Members will learn how to make a weekly action plan that will help them reach their health goals. Class topics include:
- Ways to deal with frustration, fatigue, pain, and loneliness
- Exercises to help with strength, flexibility, and endurance
- Correct use of medications
- How to communicate well with family, friends, and health professionals
- Nutrition
- Learning about new treatments
