JOHNS HOPKINS COMMUNITY PHYSICIANS TO CELEBRATE 20-YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF UNIFORMED SERVICES FAMILY HEALTH PLAN

WHAT:

Johns Hopkins Community Physicians will host a ceremony on Friday, May 17, 2002 to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of legislation allowing uniformed services beneficiaries and their families to receive medical care at Wyman Park Medical Center, a Uniformed Services Treatment Facility (USTF) established in 1981. Seven former US Public Health Service Hospital facilities nation-wide established the first Department of Defense managed care program. The Plan provides quality health care to military families including beneficiaries age 65 and over, at civilian medical facilities. The program is now called US Family Health Plan.
