Johns Hopkins’ Biennial Meeting to be Held June 7-10

--Media Invited for Preview of Biomedical Research and Treatments--

Physicians from around the world will gather in Baltimore June 7 through 10 for the Biennial Meeting of The Johns Hopkins Medical and Surgical Association. Held at the Preclinical Teaching Building (725 N. Wolfe St.) on Hopkins’ East Baltimore campus, the symposium will address research initiatives and promising treatments for a wide variety of medical conditions including cancer, heart disease and mood disorders. Session topics include:

* Potential for Human Stem-Cell Therapies
* Genes That Cause Cancer
* Trends in Health Care Delivery Systems
* A Genetic Perspective on Bipolar Disorders
* New Treatment of Acute Stroke
* Novel Therapeutics for Treatment of Intractable Epilepsy
* Novel Applications of MRI
* How Children Develop Behavioral Problems
