Johns Hopkins will brief the press on Monday, 11:30 a.m. EDT, on information related to the death of a research volunteer last month. The briefing, in the auditorium of Hopkins Hospitalís Weinberg Building at Broadway and Orleans St. in Baltimore, will focus on the contents of the full report by a Hopkins internal review committee to be submitted Monday to the federal Office of Human Research Protection (OHRP), and on a letter sent to OHRP responding to a few specific questions from that agency. Because faculty and leaders at Hopkins are welcoming President Bush to the campus late today, and cannot be available to the press, we will make copies of the full report and the letter available to the press on Monday, when the leadership and chair of the internal investigation committee will be available to answer questions.
The briefing can also be accessed by calling 800-275-3939.
