
Adena is a third year medical student taking a year off from medical school to earn an MPH at the School of Public Health. Her interests are primarily in the fields of Infectious Disease, International Health, and the application of culturally appropriate care. Her primary goals for this year include acquiring additional experience in epidemiology and biostatistics and she is currently working with Dr. Kelly Gebo on issues related to HIV in the elderly population. In the future, she envisions completing a fellowship in Infectious Disease, working in the international arena with underserved populations, and applying medical and public health perspectives to national and international health problems.
