
Deanna Cettomai is a third year medical student taking a year off to earn an MHS in Clinical Epidemiology at the School of Public Health. She is interested in research related to the neurological effects of HIV infection. Deanna works with Dr. Carlos Pardo and Dr. Justin McArthur on identifying markers in cerebrospinal fluid which may be predictive of future development of HIV dementia and HIV neuropathy. She plans to pursue a neurology residency and ultimately focus on neurological effects of infectious diseases and pursue a career in clinical research in this area.
