The Johns Hopkins Medicine Philanthropy Institute (JHMPI) Summer Institute is a multi-day immersive leadership development program tailored to the unique needs and circumstances of medical development professionals. Since launching in 2014, we’ve trained more than 250 leaders in medical philanthropy across North America and beyond.

The carefully curated sessions and workshops are aimed at providing you with practical skills, strategic knowledge, useful tools and templates, and a network of like-minded individuals to support your leadership journey. During the institute, you will engage with Johns Hopkins Medicine leadership and industry experts, collaborate with peers from across the country, and gain insights into the latest trends and best practices in medical fundraising.

What you can expect:

JHMPI is led and instructed by executive and senior leaders of the Fund for Johns Hopkins Medicine and Johns Hopkins Medicine physicians who engage with development and donors. In addition to Johns Hopkins University & Medicine leaders, we are joined by Summer Institute Alumni as well as special guests like this year’s keynote presenter Alice Ayres, President and CEO of the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy, for an intimate discussion on the state of healthcare philanthropy.

Alumni of the JHMPI Summer Institute are invited to attend future virtual and in-person programs and contribute to JHMPI curriculum, reflecting our commitment to nurturing a network of engaged medical development leaders and advancing the profession through continuous research and innovation.

The JHMPI Summer Institute experience includes:

Community
