Diversity Statement

The Department of Pharmacology and Molecular Sciences believes that the strength of our program requires participation of individuals with diverse viewpoints and experiences.   Therefore, we strive to recruit and provide a welcoming supportive environment for all under-represented students.  We welcome individuals of all races, ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, and physical abilities.

As an institution, the Johns Hopkins community is committed to sharing values of diversity and inclusion in order to achieve and sustain excellence. The University firmly believes that it can best promote excellence by recruiting and retaining a diverse group of students, faculty and staff and by creating a climate of respect that is supportive of their success. This climate for diversity, inclusion and excellence is critical to attaining the best research, scholarship, teaching, health care and other strategic goals of the University. Taken together these values are recognized and supported fully by the Johns Hopkins Institutions leadership at all levels.

Questions regarding access to programs following Title VI, Title IX and Section 504 should be referred to the Office of Institutional Equity, who is responsible for the coordination of equal opportunity programs, 130 Garland Hall, (410) 516-8075.
