Current research focuses on chemoprevention of infectious diseases
Research focuses on clinical pharmacology of HIV chemoprevention with an emphasis on: (1) development of methods to assess distribution of topical HIV microbicides, CD4 cells, and HIV in the sites of sexual transmission; (2) PK-PD models of pre-exposure antiretroviral HIV prophylaxis; (3) development of methods to understand the compartmentalization of antiretroviral drugs and HIV within the male genital tract. Other research involves HIV pharmacology, fungal chemoprevention, and drug-drug interactions.
