The Saga of Sam

The Saga of Sam

Saturday, May 28, 1994

New trauma.  We are used to nosebleeds during vomiting episodes, but today, several drops of blood come from your right ear also.  Your face is also beginning to puff.

The wait for a donor is not just long for us.  I am amazed at the length people are willing to go to help.  We have discussed living related transplants.  Several people, Jack Ross, John Knepley, Aunt Bev, Jenny have all offered to donate a lobe of their liver.  The Kennedys (Kim, Carole, Kate and John) have heard of transplants being more available in India.  All may seem far fetched, but everyone is willing to go to extremes for your benefit.  Everyone is feeling desperate.
