The Saga of Sam

The last six months have been an incredible journey for you, our family and those who were close to us.  When asked, I have always described you as my sensual son and Shaun as my sensitive son.  Shaun can always send people's feelings and respond in a caring and kind manner.  You are always one not necessarily to observe, but rather feel the world and the people around you.  You take the time to smell the roses, enjoy life, and yet appropriately participate and excel in the things you did.  In short, I believe you love life.

I hope to capture the ordeal that we have lived through to help us remember the lessons learned and emotions felt.  Maybe this will also help other people, even your children, understand this strange twist of fate and deal as effectively with their lives as you have dealt with yours.
