Pediatric General Surgery
The Division of Pediatric General Surgery is committed to providing the highest quality patient care, conducting innovative medical research, and providing the best training to our surgeons and physicians.
Surgical faculty members have a long tradition of excellence, are world-renowned for their unique surgical expertise and skills. Additionally, they are also known for their research, which is targeted at developing techniques and medicines that make surgery both safer and more effective.
The Division consists of six pediatric surgeons and five nurse practitioners, four nurses and a team of research scientist lead by a molecular biologist. We provide high quality and family-centered care for the diagnosis and treatment of congenital malformation, childhood illness, and injury. The Pediatric General Surgery program currently offers a wide range of clinical expertise with surgical interventions including: advanced laparoscopy; thoracic, abdominal, vascular, airway, and oncologic surgery; specialized treatment of trauma and burns; transplantation of lung, kidney and liver (split liver, living related, cadaveric).
