Insurance Information

Johns Hopkins Medicine participates in a wide range of health plans with hospitals and affiliates having their own set of accepted insurances. Before scheduling an appointment or seeking treatment, please contact your insurance provider to understand your coverage benefits and costs.

Please note that your insurance company may not pay for all of your services if your benefit plan requires out-of-pocket expenses to be paid (such as deductibles, co-payments and co-insurance) or if you are required to seek services (such as lab, radiology, etc.) at specific locations/companies. Deductibles and co-payments will be collected at the time of service.

Johns Hopkins Medical Imaging

Johns Hopkins Medical Imaging participates with most insurance companies. Visit our site for a complete listing and contact information for billing related questions.

Hospitals

Professional fees (physician or other provider fees) are separate from the hospital fees. You may receive bills from multiple physicians for their services, including but not limited to your private physician, anesthesiologist, pathologist, radiologist, cardiologist, emergency room physician and other specialists who participated in your care. If you have questions about the bill for their services, please contact the individual provider. Please note that Johns Hopkins Medicine cannot guarantee that private physicians participate with your health insurance plan.
