Pancreatic Cyst Diagnosis and Treatment at Johns Hopkins
A Team Approach to Care
The diagnosis of a pancreatic cyst or tumor on the pancreas can be stressful and confusing, but at Johns Hopkins we are here to help.
The specialists at the Multidisciplinary Pancreatic Cyst Program welcome any patient with a known or suspected pancreatic cyst and are dedicated to providing the highest-quality medical care, including timely and comprehensive evaluations.
Our team of gastroenterologists, pancreatic surgeons, radiologists, and pathologists works together using all of the resources available for the diagnosis, patient education, treatment and research of pancreatic cysts.
About Pancreatic Cysts:
Pancreatic cysts affect up to 2-8 percent of the U.S. population. A pancreatic cyst is a collection of fluid on or in the pancreas. Many pancreatic cysts are benign and are not associated with any symptoms, but some may be cancerous or pre-cancerous so it’s important to see your doctor if you have a diagnosed or suspected pancreatic cyst.
