I was born and raised in Derwood, Maryland, which is basically the middle of nowhere in Montgomery County, MD. I am a junior at Johns Hopkins University majoring in neuroscience, and hopefully minoring in mathematics.

I’m like the prodigal son of the Ryugo Lab. After working in the lab my last two years of high school and a long hiatus, I’ve returned to the lab. I just couldn’t stay away from the lures of research and from Dr. Ryugo’s mad crazy sense of humor.

You can probably always find me listening to R&B whenever I’m walking around Homewood or sitting on long shuttle rides down to the med campus. I have an Art & Lutherie guitar that no one seems to appreciate, but it’s flat out amazing. I love jamming with my roommates at random hours, and we’re even trying to set up a studio in our apartment.

I also spend a lot of my time organizing Crossover Basketball, a student group I helped found with the Center for Social Concern at Hopkins. Not only do I get to ball with some of the best kids in B-more, but I also get to coach a local team of rising stars.
