Catherine Connelly

I was born in Baltimore, MD and grew up north of the city in Fallston, MD. I am the product of a family doctor and molecular biologist, so perhaps it is in my genes to pursue a major in biology. I will graduate from Villa Julie College (located in Owings Mills, MD) in the spring of ’08, with future aspirations of attending medical school. I am a two sport NCAA athlete and have served as captain of both the women’s lacrosse team and field hockey team for the past three years.

Currently, I am in the process of completing my Honors Senior Research Project as a member of Dr. Ryugo's lab. I have chosen this lab, not only due to my interest in neurology, but because of Dr. Ryugo's mentoring and teaching abilities. Over the course of my project, I will be working on creating a functional map of the mouse auditory cortex. I look to the lab to facilitate my learning, as well as personal and professional growth.
