Pediatric Otolaryngology

Welcome to the division of Pediatric Otolaryngology website. Thecare of children with diseases of the ear, nose and throat requires a unique perspective.

Our team of pediatric otolaryngologists, nurses, audiologists and speech-language pathologists — combined with the pediatric surgical services at the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center — provide children with the latest methods of evaluation and treatment in a child-centered environment.

The experience and advanced training of our pediatric otolaryngologists enable us to treat the full range of otolaryngology problems seen in children. We treat children with common illnesses including tonsillitis, sinusitis and otitis media (ear infections) using the latest guidelines for medical treatment and the most advanced techniques for surgical treatment.

We also assess and treat children with more complex disorders not typically treated in community settings, including complex airway disorders, congenital head and neck abnormalities, and chronic ear disease. Children with ear, nose and throat diseases who need special care because of complicating medical conditions, like asthma, heart disease, and developmental disorders, can receive optimal care by our physicians using the full resources of the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center.
