Telemetry and bedside monitoring for patients with a cardiac diagnosis (HF, HTN), DM, RF, immunological and hematological disorders. Patients who undergo cardiac procedures (Cath, AICD). No invasive monitoring.

- HD, pacemakers, internal cardiac defibrillators
- Average length of stay: 4.5 days

- 20
Nurse/Patient Ratio
- Day/Evening: 1:4
- Night: 1:5
Rotation/Shifts
- Self-scheduling; 8- and 12-hour shifts
Skill Mix
- 92 percent RN; 8 percent clinical technicians
- RN composite: 32 percent ADN/diploma; 64 percent BSN; 4 percent MSN
- BLS, ACLS encouraged
Orientation
- 8-9 weeks; 1:1 with an experienced RN preceptor
- New Grads: SPRING program
