Wawa Cares About Cancer Patients
Date: November 11, 2010
The Hackerman-Patz Patient and Family Pavilion provides a home-away-from-home for patients and families traveling to the Kimmel Cancer Center for long-term treatment. One of the Pavilion’s amenities for its guests is continuous free coffee and supplies, which have been provided through the generosity of the Wawa Delmarva regional division.
In addition, Wawa stores throughout Maryland collected $20,000 in customer donations between January and March, 2010 to help support research at the Kimmel Cancer Center.
