Community Health Needs Assessment
Date: October 7, 2013
Every three years, Johns Hopkins Bayview is required to conduct a community health needs assessment to determine what areas the Medical Center needs to focus on to better serve the surrounding neighborhoods.
Based on this information, four priority areas were identified:
- Addiction, including tobacco
- Access to health care for Latino and non-English-speaking populations
- Mental health, including violence prevention
Many programs are already in place to address these key issues; however, Johns Hopkins Bayview is now seeking feedback from the community and clinical departments to develop new programs that will ultimately improve the health of the people we serve.
