Heart Walk Time

The American Heart Association is a national voluntary health organization whose mission is to reduce disability and death from heart ailments—a goal that resonates with Johns Hopkins Medicine. The institution has a long tradition of supporting the AHA’s Greater Baltimore Heart Walk: The Johns Hopkins Hospital has often earned the title of “Top Walk Team” of the Greater Baltimore Heart Walk; the health system’s goal this year is to raise $170,000 to help advance treatments for cardiovascular disease and stroke. This year’s event takes place Saturday, Oct. 19 at the Camden Yards Sports Complex. All Johns Hopkins Hospital walkers (and those from other affiliates) will receive a team T-shirt and have the opportunity to be entered into raffles. Johns Hopkins Medicine affiliates can choose to register as team captains or walkers. Those who cannot attend the walk can consider donating to support their team.
