U. S. News & World Report Metro Hospital rankings

All five Johns Hopkins Medicine hospitals are included in the new listings by U.S. News & World Report on the “best hospitals” in various metropolitan areas. The Johns Hopkins Hospital, Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center and Howard County General Hospital are ranked for the Baltimore region, while Suburban Hospital and Sibley Memorial Hospital are listed for the Washington, D.C., region.

The Johns Hopkins Hospital has been ranked the number-one hospital by U.S. News for the past 20 years in its national ranking. As expected, The Johns Hopkins Hospital was number one in the Baltimore metro region for all specialties. In addition, Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center was ranked 7th and Howard County General Hospital was tied for 11th in the Baltimore region, while Suburban Hospital was tied for 8th and Sibley Memorial Hospital was tied for 17th place for the Washington, D.C., region. Additionally, a recent report from U.S. News named the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine as one of the top three U.S. medical schools for the 20th consecutive year.
