Repairs bring temporary parking changes

Date: April 6, 2011

Patients and visitors will use the Caroline Garage for the next several months.

Due to a scheduled overhaul of the elevators in the McElderry Garage (also known as the Outpatient Center Garage), the Caroline Garage, which is next door, is serving as the designated patient/visitor garage until the elevator project in McElderry is completed.

This arrangement, expected to last a few months, ensures that patients and visitors have access to full-service elevators when parking.

The Caroline Garage is accessible from both McElderry and Monument streets. There are entry lanes and exit lanes on both sides.

A convenient shuttle will run weekdays between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. to transport patients and visitors between the Caroline Garage and the Outpatient Center building. Attendants holding yellow and black signs that read “Ask Me for a Ride” will point you to the proper shuttle.

Valet service is also provided in the Outpatient Center circle. To use this service, patients and visitors can pull up to the entrance of the Outpatient Center. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Note: Although the service will not accept vehicles after 3 p.m., it will retrieve them until 6 p.m.
