Release Date: June 4, 2010

June 4, 2010- Becker’s Hospital Review and Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) magazines have named The Johns Hopkins Hospital as one of the 100 best places to work in health care in the United States for 2010.

According to Becker’s, The Johns Hopkins Hospital “has a reputation as one of the premier hospitals in the country, ranking first on U.S. News & World Report's Honor Roll of America's Best Hospitals. The hospital is also affiliated with the prestigious Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, which helps attract A-list talent… Its reputation and success have enabled the hospital to create a patient-centered culture and offer excellent benefits.”

The company says it chooses health care centers for inclusion in its top 100 best places to work list based on “their demonstrated excellence in providing a work environment that promotes teamwork, professional development and quality patient care.”

Ronald R. Peterson, president, The Johns Hopkins Hospital and Health System, and executive vice president, Johns Hopkins Medicine, says, “It’s always a pleasure to receive recognition for the dedication and hard work of our employees. They are, after all, what really makes The Johns Hopkins Hospital such a great place to work.”
