ATTENTION: ADULTS WITH TOURETTE SYNDROME
This research is being done to find out if certain medications that alter the brain chemical dopamine are effective at suppressing tics.
| WHO: | Adults, ages 18-65, with Tourette syndrome and Chronic Tic Disorder who are not taking medicine or whose current treatment is ineffective |
| WHAT: | 10-week treatment study (1 screening visit, plus 5 visits with a physician to assess progress). You will receive study drug, Ecopipam. |
| WHERE: | Johns Hopkins Hospital |
| BENEFIT/RISK: | The study may improve your tic symptoms, but as with all drugs there are possible side effects associated with each drug. |
| COMPENSATION: | $50-$100 per clinic visit, up to $450.00 |
