Joanne Vaccaro, LCSW-C, a clinical social worker in the NCCU, received her master’s degree in social work at the University of Maryland at Baltimore School of Social Work. Her social work experience expands throughout the Baltimore County School System, hospitals and nursing homes. She has been at The Johns Hopkins Hospital since 1991, working in a number of departments throughout Medicine/Surgery including the medical intensive care unit. Ms. Vaccaro has been with the NCCU team since 1998, developing an expertise in crisis intervention, grief counseling, adjustment to illness and children in crisis.
