Dr. Andrea M. Corse received her medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine and came to The Johns Hopkins as an intern in medicine on the Osler Medical Service. She completed her neurology residency training at Hopkins serving as chief resident, followed by a two year combined basic and clinical research fellowship in neuromuscular disease.

Now an Associate Professor of Neurology at Johns Hopkins, Dr. Corse is director of the Neuromuscular Pathology Laboratory and Neuromuscular Biopsy Service. She provides clinical expertise in the management of myasthenia gravis (MG), myositis and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Over the past decade, Dr. Corse has participated in several national or international ALS clinical trials.

Dr. Corse currently sees patients at The Johns Hopkins Outpatient Center located in Baltimore on Wednesdays. She also performs outpatient nerve and muscle biopsies on Mondays and conducts nerve conduction and EMG testing on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

  • 1996, added Qualifications in Clinical Neurophysiology
  • 1999, Neuromuscular Pathology in Muscle and Nerve (AAN)
