Dr. Chiadi Onyike received his medical degree from the University of Nigeria and completed his residency in Psychiatry at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He also completed fellowships in clinical psychiatry and psychiatric epidemiology at Johns Hopkins.
Now an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Johns Hopkins and Director of the Frontotemporal Dementia Clinic, Dr. Onyike focuses on the cognitive and neuropsychiatric features of Frontotemporal dementia (FTD). Through his work, the prevalence of psychiatric symptoms in dementia has been described, and potential treatments for behavioral disorders in dementia patients have been explored.
Dr. Onyike’s research focuses on the evolution of early cognitive and behavioral symptoms in FTD, and potential treatment for the behavioral disturbances in these patients.
Dr. Onyike currently sees patients at the Young Onset Dementia Clinic located in Baltimore on Wednesdays.
