Dr. Constantine Lyketsos received his medical degree from Washington University Medical School in St. Louis and completed his residency in Psychiatry at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He completed fellowships in psychiatric epidemiology and neuropsychiatry at Johns Hopkins.
Now a Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Johns Hopkins and Chair of Psychiatry at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Campus, and the Elizabeth Plank Althouse Professor of Alzheimer's Disease.
Dr. Lyketsos’s research focuses on identification of novel treatments for depression in AD, biomarkers that may be used to track response to treatment of AD, and risk factors for the development of AD. Through his work, the prevalence of psychiatric symptoms in Alzheimer’s disease has been clarified, and potential treatments for these behavioral disturbances have been identified.
Dr. Lyketsos currently sees patients at The Johns Hopkins Memory Center located in Baltimore on Thursdays.
