Comprehensive Personalized Care

At the Johns Hopkins Epilepsy Center, our physicians and staff provide a continuum of care for all our patients. As our patients grow, their specific needs can continue to be addressed by physicians who have familiarity with their unique challenges.

We work together to provide cutting-edge treatment options for our patients, including medication, seizure-control devices, surgical options and dietary therapy.

Empowering our patients through education

Our team’s main goal is to empower patients and their families by providing as much information as possible about diagnostic and treatment methods, as well as revolutionary approaches to treatment. Expert and individually tailored treatment plans are provided for all patients—even those with the most difficult to control seizures. These plans are designed to enable each patient to live full and productive lives.

As educators and researchers, our physicians are dedicated to discovering new approaches to the diagnostic evaluation and effective management of all forms of seizure disorders. Learn more about diagnosing seizure disorders.

Our physicians meet formally once a week in our comprehensive epilepsy case conference. The goal of this meeting is to share information, new findings and ideas that will help our patients. Successful treatment modalities are discussed with the goal of implementing them for future patients.
