Dr. David Cornblath received his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University. He completed his internship in medicine at University Hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio followed by a residency in neurology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He then became Clinical Fellow of the Muscular Dystrophy Association in the Peripheral Nerve Morphology Laboratory also at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
Now Professor of Neurology and Director of the Neurology EMG Laboratory at Johns Hopkins, Dr. Cornblath focuses his efforts on peripheral neuropathies. He is chair of one of the Johns Hopkins Institutional Review Boards. He has co-authored over 200 scientific papers. He is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of the Peripheral Nervous System. He is Secretary-Treasurer of the Peripheral Nerve Society. He consults with Industry and serves on Data Safety Monitoring Boards.
Dr. Cornblath is on the Board of Directors of the GBS-CIDP Foundation International and the Foundation for Peripheral Neuropathy. Dr. Cornblath is on the Medical Advisory Board of the GBS-CIDP Foundation International.
Dr. Cornblath currently sees patients at The Johns Hopkins Outpatient Center located in Baltimore on Tuesday mornings. He performs EMGs at The Johns Hopkins Outpatient Center located in Baltimore on Tuesday afternoons.
