Risheng Xu obtained joint Bachelor's and Master's of Arts degrees in Chemistry from Harvard College in June 2007. Risheng is currently an MD/PhD candidate at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Risheng’s basic science interests have led him to combine synthetic chemistry techniques with cancer biology in order to better understand and inhibit spinal tumor angiogenesis and metastasis. Risheng’s current clinical research interests lie in investigating the biomechanical properties of various spinal fusion constructs, as well as the clinical outcomes associated with instrumented spinal fusion. |
