The interview was featured on CNN.com and followed a typical day in Dr Q’s life — shuffling between the OR and the lab — while also providing the biographical context that makes Dr Q’s story all the more incredible. While this may sound like the first line of a bad joke, this is, in fact, what happened when Dr Q was approached to contribute to Venus William’s book entitled, “Come to Win.” Dr Q authored a chapter entitled, “Maintaining Enthusiasm.” Learn more.

USA Science & Engineering Festival
On October 23rd – 24th the inaugural USA Science & Engineering Festival took place in Washington, DC. Two days filled with over 1500 science and engineering activities and speakers was meant to encourage science and technology education with hands-on activities. Dr Q was selected by as one of the “Nifty Fifty,” a group of prominent science professionals, to speak about his career in science & medicine to a group of Washington, DC area students.
