Spinal Biomechanics


We are currently:

  • Comparing immediate and post-fatigue rigidity of translaminar versus pedicle screws (at C2 and T1/2) in short axial and long sub-axial cervical spine constructs.
  • Assessing the effect of distractible cage technology on intra-vertebral graft subsidence and construct rigidity in thoraco-lumbar spinal reconstruction.
  • Determining the number of posterior fixation levels needed for 360 degree fusion after multi-level corpectomy of the cervical and thoraco-lumbar spine. 
  • Comparing the effect of one- versus two-vertebral screw plate systems on graft subsidence and rigidity after multilevel anterior discectomy and fusion.
