Neuropoint SD Study

Support: AANS/CNS Section of Disorders of the Spine and Peripheral Nerves

Project Description: Multi-center study looking at the outcomes of patients following basic lumbar surgeries for degenerative lumbar pathology, including lumbar laminectomy and lumbar fusion.


National Neurosurgery Quality and Outcomes Database (N2QOD)

Support: American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS)
Site Lead Investigator:  A. Bydon.

Project Description: Multi-center study looking at the outcomes of patients with degenerative spinal pathologies given various treatment options. Goal is determine comparative effectiveness between different treatments.


Complex Spine Study Group (CSSG) Multi-Center Retrospective and Observational Data Registry for Clinical and Radiographic Outcomes of Spinal Surgery Comparing Instrumentation and procedures

Project Description: Multi-center study looking at the outcomes of patients following complex spinal surgeries, including degenerative, scoliosis, and tumor pathologies.


Prospective Evaluation of Minimally Invasive Surgery versus Traditional Open Techniques in the Treatment of Metastatic Spine Tumors

Principle Investigator:  D.M. Sciubba.

Project Description: To compare outcomes of patients with metastatic spine disease undergoing traditional open techniques to those undergoing minimally invasive surgery with regards to complications, hospital stay, neurological function, tumor recurrence, and overall survival.
